Shoe Design Circa 1939

Found this link and couldn't help but get excited. My favorite era (the 1930s) combined with some fabulous surrealist influences... and some awesome futurist styles as well. I'd never heard of Steven Arpad before, but now he's on my vintage radar. Enjoy!

It’s interesting to see how footwear reflected the fashion and culture of that era. 2. Finding vintage gems like Steven Arpad's work is always exciting. The structural lines and surrealist influence in 1930s design make for such an interesting area of study. While checking theresearchhawk.com Reviews for student references on fashion history and design evolution, I noticed how frequently the 1930s avant-garde movement gets cited. Posts like this are a great reminder of how forward-thinking that era truly was!
